3kStatic CD and digital-double album Where's
Our Piece of the Groovy World? includes 22
new tracks highlighted by collaborations with
artists from across the stylistic spectrum plus
remixes from an equally eclectic cadre of
electronica producers.
Pressing forward with a sound that has become a
unique, genre-crossing trademark - infused with
a poltically-charged attitude - Where's Our
Piece of the Groovy World? nonetheless will
mark a definitive step in the continuing
evolution of the 3kStatic project as it moves
into its 8th year on the scene.

:
Rapidly
emerging as a force on the house and intelligent
dance music scenes, Canadian produder Joel
Armstrong has recently been featured on
venerable house music broadcast Proton
Radio.
Recently signed to indie dance label
Babylon
Records,
his work has been hailed by luminary DJ
Herman Ca taneo and many others. His
previous collaborations with 3kStatic include
remixes of the singles 'Parallel Rush' and
'Drumbeat Litany'.

Askew:

In
addition to her own stellar solo work,
songwriter and vocalist Joy Askew has
recorded and/or toured with Quincy Jones,
Peter Gabriel, Joe Jackson and
Laurie Anderson and also released a
well-received disc as a member of the downtempo
jazz/electronica duo Echo with Takuya
Nakamura . Joy is currently working on the
dance / deep house project Cherry with
fellow multi-instrumentalist Robert

composer and producer Robert Bond has

As
an influential radio DJ and music critic,
John Brassil is a leading proponent of
the indie electronic music scene. His weekly
electronic broadcast 'Mixdown' heard
Sundays on WRVU FM 91.1 Nashville was the first
radio outlet to regularly play 3kStatic,
beginning in 2003 with the track 'One Of
Us'.

Norway, Nashville songwriter and producer Kirk
Cornelius is currently at work on the

Domingo
:
Studio
wizard Chris Domingo first bounded onto
the scene with his indie dance releases on his
own db records label, and has since gone on to
establish himself as one of the most
sought-after technicians in the business. His
credits include work for Brooklyn Queens,
Paul Oakenfold and many others, and his
work on the Seal track 'Get It Together'
was nominated for a Grammy award in 2003. He
also served as the mastering engineer for the
3kStatic album 'Perversion: For
Profit, a role he reprises for 'Where's
Our Piece Of the Groovy World?'

Moodi
Drury
:
As
half of the bright-burning but short-lived
Sheffield, UK, duo Sunshine Panic (along
with Glynn Heppenstall of TAGC and
Clock DVA) , Moodi has helped
rekindled that city's famous avant garde
Industrial rock scene. His new album The
Phenomonon of Illusory Ascension will be
released on dPulse later in 2005, and features
appeareances from Genesis P. Orridge and
art-rocker John Hackett.

Hall
:
Sheffield,
UK producer Max Hall has made his mark
with an easily identified and effervescent sound
all his own. Best known for his numerous hit
tracks in Japan on the venerable Toryumon label,
he's also scored a critical success with his
live band Nautic Dive (also with Eddy
Hill and Charlie Lynn). His 12" single
'Electricity' on dPulse is expected for release
September 27.

The Captain

One of the fastest-rising new artists on the
US house scene, Hook The Captain (who
also records as J-Punch) has notched
numerous club hits with tracks like
'Bitch', 'Red Blood', and
'Temple' on labels such as System, Global
Underground and Politik. Along the way, he's
gained considerable acclaim from the likes of
Paul Lancaster, D:Fuse, Paul
Oakenfold and many others. As a member of
3kStatic since 2003, he has also produced
some of the project's most commercially
noteworthy tracks, including the #1 indie FM cut
'The Music', 'Shattered' and
others.

James & Sima -
UK
indie artst Dean James deftly combines folk and
rock with a decidedly original approach to
electronic soundscapes. The effect is a majestic
and honest variant on electonica norms. Sima's
vocals highlight their soaring collaborative
track 'Redsky Sunset', elements of which are
incorporated into the 3kStatic album track
'Astral City (of the Inner Sun)'.

Pete
Miser
:
The
founder of Portland, Oregon, hip-hop outfit
Five Fingers of Funk - who performed in
support of The Roots, Maceo Parker,
Run DMC and others - Pete Miser
later moved to New York to pursue a solo career.
That solo career has to date resulted in two
successful albums and stints as the touring DJ
for Dido and also alternative rock
superstars The Cure. His collaboration
with 3kStatic promises to be ongoing and
always interesting, fusing completely different
musical approaches intersecting at a common
ideal.

previous collaboration with 3kStatic surfaced
recently with a remix of the 'Perversion: For
Profit' track 'Secret Society', Rigger also
