FEATURED ACROSS iTUNES EUROPE

NEW 09.14.06: PROTEST ROCK LEGEND NEIL YOUNG TABS 3kSTATIC SINGLE 'OLD NEWS (ENDLESS STATIC)' FEATURING PETE MISER, REAL LIVE SHOW & GEORGE CLINTON & THE P-FUNK ALL STARS AS ONE OF NEW 'SONGS OF THE TIMES' FEATURED NOW AT NEILYOUNG.COM [
info ] THE ALBUM ALSO REMAINS ON THE TOP 10 ON ITUNES DANCE CHARTS ACROSS EUROPE, AND IS AMONG THIS WEEK'S FEATURED NEW FUNK RELEASES ON RHAPSODY (US).

In a music culture often dominated by the nameless, faceless legions of acts in search of the Next Big Hit --- but with nothing in particular to say --- comes Where's Our Piece of the Groovy World?, the forthcoming new double album from dPulse Recordings/INgrooves/Neo artists 3kStatic.

Featuring nearly two dozen guest artists, remix producers and collaborators from across the music spectrum - and drawing on the influence of Dadaist art and electronic music pioneers like Cabaret Voltaire, Meat Beat Manifesto and Tackhead - Where's Our Piece of the Groovy World? is anything but typical radio fare.

Incorporating organic elements of funk, house, trip-hop and orchestral rock. 3kStatic follows up the success of the 2004-2005 discs Perversion: For Profit (digital sales over 11,000 units), The Great Republic and Cut Up // Liberate (featuring original album art by Richard H. Kirk) with a definitve 22-track statement that reasserts the message --- and the means to put that message across.

Long known for taking a definitive social and political viewpoint - and serving it up in the context of progressive electronica forms - the seven-year output of 3kStatic has been embraced by an audience as diverse as the project itself - having been described as 'anarchist disco'; reviewed in at least one Communist journal, and favorably compared to rap and hip-hop legends Public Enemy for the intensity of that message....all the while steadily building US radio support and exposure (the music of 3kStatic is regularly featured on the soundtrack of MTV's The Real World and Road Rules and has charted numerous singles on DJ charts of many persuasions).

Where's Our Piece of the Groovy World? finds 3kStatic again stepping up as a voice for the unheard.

Despite featuring no fewer than ten legitimate college and indie/alternative FM radio singles, the album is punctuated by themes ranging from personal insurgency, media paranoia, conspiracy theories and Fortean thought to the rise of the Police State and institutionalized social inequality. As the title suggests Where's Our Piece of the Groovy World? may be best described as a concept album for the disenfranchised.

Highlighted by collaborations with George Clinton & The P*Funk All-Stars, Joy Askew, Pete Miser, Annette Strean, Robert Bond and many others, Where's Our Piece of the Groovy World? is available now in multiple configurations

Available on compact disc, double compact disc (MP3 comptaible); and will also be available at all digital music services.
