10.27.08: 3KSTATIC ON NOMINATIONS BALLOT -
51st GRAMMY AWARDS
The 3kStatic album Voodoo Science is
officially an entry candidate on the nominations
ballot for the 51st GRAMMY® Awards, in the
'Best Electronic / Dance Album' category, where
it joins releases from Junkie XL,
Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Kaskade,
Ladytron, The Orb and others.
With eight of the CD version's eleven tracks
having charted on various retail sales reports -
including 31 weeks at #1 for 'Showdown (feat.
Parthenon Huxley)' at the former
PlayiTonight.com and 9 weeks at #1 at
Playdigital.com for 'Council Housed and
Violent (feat. Vile Evils), Voodoo
Science scored more charting tracks than any
previous 3kStatic album, and spawned remix
releases of the track 'The Big Space' on
four different indie dance labels in 2008.
