ONE
OF US (MAXI-SINGLE)
RELEASED 04.02
A
brooding, hi-intensity excursion into
ambient drum n' bass, 'One Of
Us' was originally released in
April 2002, and has gone on become one
of 3kStatic's most popular and
acclaimed tracks. 'One Of Us'
became the first 3kStatic single to
garner significant college radio
airplay when it debuted on
The
Mixdown,
an electronica program of Vanderbilt
University's WRVU FM.
In November 2002, national exposure for
'One Of Us' increased when the
track was added to the playlist of
'Electric Circus', a weekly
electronica broadcast of national
broadcast network RadioU.
Featuring seven versions of the title
track as well as two bonus tracks,
"One Of Us" straddles the line
between drum n' bass and Meat Beat
Manifesto-tinged Industrial.
A vocal remix emtitled 'One Of Us:
Routine Behaviours', was released
in September 2002.

Words

actions
once seemed new and real clouds to hide
in broken seals
life goes on at least dissolves can't
continue lost resolve
days to weeks an endless chain |
madness setting in my brain
faces turn to laughter then to nothing
else do what you have to
it won't go on this ends right here
it's been the same for all three years
stuck
in this euphoric vice we're all going
down we pay the price
set out to be born again | different
life with different friends
can't get out of this crater how'd it
become five months later?
why? ask no questions. . .please? never
wonder. . .when? it won't happen. .
.
how?
live forever
