Taken from the 2009 Sony release Evolver, the original version of 'Projected Tones' also peaked at #24 on the US Dance Charts. Remixes of the track were also released April 2009 on the Nightshade Music label.

Featuring 10 new tracks, the forthcoming 3kStatic release Not Art will be released in digital formats by dPulse Recordings October 27, 2009. A return to the band's IDM/Experimental Dance roots, Not Art includes several tracks recorded at Nurse Audio (Atlanta, Georgia).

Taking its title from the band's long-standing identification with the Dadaist movement, Not Art' is loosely assembled as a concept album and will precede the release of the digital version of the 3kStatic Sony release Evolver and the compilation albums Collaborations and Remixes, which feature the band's more accessible tracks released 2006-2009.

4 3K TRACKS ON THE REAL WORLD (MTV UK)

With tracks appearing on episodes of MTV's groundbreaking reality series 'The Real World" for over five years, 3kStatic has become a staple of the show's soundtrack.

3kStatic tracks also have been included on the soundtrack to other Viacom programming, including "Road Rules" and on the Gay/Lesbian oriented Logo cable channel.

For the First Quarter of 2009, BMI reports that 3kStatic music registered 12,090 'spins' (performances), including the tracks 'Dreamlanding'; 'Parallel Rush'; 'Rail' and 'Tomorrow' appearing on the soundtrack of "The Real World" during the Q1 program cycle on MTV UK.

'Sugar Evolver (Remixed)', the new single from 3kStatic and Kevin Max, will be released July 21.

With the original track appearing on the 3kStatic album Evolver (Sony cat # SLED 117), the remix release features new versions, including a downtempo mix from Belgian production team Suite 406, whose Deep & Closer also album dropped on dPulse Recordings July 14, and members of which have also produced remixes for Lamb, Underworld and many others.

Acclaimed artist Kevin Max is the winner of multiple GRAMMY® and Dove Awards. Although perhaps best known as frontman for the multi-platinum band dcTalk, his solo career has won Max tremendous acclaim as a pioneering, visionary artist in his own rite.

The collaboration between electronic veterans 3kStatic and Kevin Max was engineered by Jonathan Smith (Luna Halo).

ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF SITUATIONS - EVEN THOSE 'READY MADE'

It's perhaps somewhat mystifying to be faced head-on with the fact that some might take the creative ideals that fuel their pursuits - and actually put them into practice. Perhaps in a world of producing noise for money or attention, this is somewhat unusual.

Maybe the notion of 'anti-art' as a means of calling attention to the inherent farce of it all - but at the same time deploying the results as a statement for what a group may (or may not) feel to be the Truth - is in itself nonsensical.

This collective happens to take the principle that rebelling against art is one method of also rebelling against the status quo quite seriously. The ideals of Dadaism and Situationism are effective in this regard, just as they were in 1917 or 1957.

3kStatic exists to both deconstruct art and construct new situations - without separation from daily life, politics or creative pursuits.

Should it prove too difficult to see this is what this collective actually does, then:

3kStatic.com, the official site of 3kStatic, has announced a month-long contest to celebrate the impending 2 millionth 'hit' to 3kStatic.com, and also the 86th Anniversary of the Dada Art Riot (Paris, 1923). Multiple times daily, we will transmit messages taken from various Dada works - but especially from the script of the play The Gas Heart.

The performance of this play resulted in a riot that began in the theater and spilled out into the streets.

Influenced heavily by the sound and fury of Dada-inspired electronic music pioneers such as Cabaret Voltaire, Tackhead, Meat Beat Manifesto and Pop Will Eat Itself, 3kStatic seeks to continue the legacy of anti-art as a form of agitation.

The current 3kStatic album Evolver is currently available at Sony Creative Software. The 2 CD set includes a complete library of sounds and samples from the album. The single 'Sugar Evolver (featuring Kevin Max)' will be released July 21, 2009.
